Lansdon is a firm believer in the policies of Woodrow Wilson. Wilson has taken the side of the farmer, and the man and woman who must work to earn a livelihood. Lansdon has taken the same side. Mr. Hughes and Mr.

Capper have alwaj's trained-with big business and naturally tak the side of the man who has property instead of the man who must depend upon his labor for his daily bread. Mr. Lansdon believes that the child labor law was one of the greatest pieces of legislation for humanity that has ever been passecj and it was passed through the efforts of Wood-row Wilson. Neither Mr. Hughes nor Mr.

Capper ever tried to do anything to get the child labor law enacted. The rural credit bill that Mr. Capper has been inclined to criticise is a great piece of legislation and has already made the big loan companies reduce interest and extend the term of the mortgage to the farmer. Mr. Lansdon is in favor of the Utilities Commission taking charge of bankrupt public corporations likewise when they fail to give proper service.

LANSDON Democratic Candidate for Governor cf Kansas. Lansdon is in favor of giving the insane and the other unfortunates sufficient' appropriations so they may have proper medical aid, and alio proper quarters in which they are kept. He does not believe that a governor should veto bills for these institutions and then' sign bills creating a lot of new jobs. Favors the Farmer. When he is governor he will not instruct his tax commission to raise farm valuations and valuations on the man with a little home, in order to meet the running expenses of the state, and then permit the big oil companies, the railroads and other corporations to have the same valuation remain.

Mr. Lansdon is very much opposed to the fee system as now carried out by the Republicans in, control of the state government, and if elected will see that the lawyer who goes on the state pay rell will do sufficient work to entitle him to the money he receives. Nor will he do as Capper has done, employ about six different lawyers and pav them bis fees to do the APPROPRIATE SUSPICION "I was accused of giving short weight with my salmon orders." "Well, I have heard it whispered there is something fishy about your scales." tions of Kansas. "There has been tod much petty politics in Kansas," said Mr. Lansdon, "too much politics in our, state institutions.

Too many political henchmen placed on the pay roll. Too much of the power of the state being used to- further the governor's business and political ambitions. I shall clean up the state institutions, see that the money given them is spent legitimately and do all in my power to give the insane and the or-nhans the best care possible. We, work that the attorney general should do. Nor will he approve of one set of officials taking fees because they supported him and criticise others who may not have been willing to bow to his dictation.

In fact the voters will find Mr Lansdon at all times standing for laws that will give every man an equal chance. He' will demand justice anc a square deal for the merchant, the farmer, the laboring man, and will only ask that big business do their riart. in irn Droving the general condi WISE PRECAUTION. "Why is Harry giving Sue all that sticky caramel?" "She's going on a fishing trip with him this afternoon?".
