T. TIME TABLE. Fisher Camp are buying calves from four to eight weeks old for the Kansas City market, for which they are paying from 52.50 to S4.50 each. Nothing but good fat calves desired. The Neosho valley settlers will meet in Chanute on April 2nd to protest against the frequent floods in the streams and "to devise the best methods of preventing repititions thereof in the fu All parties who have blacksmithing or any kind of repairing that should be done before the spring work begins, should bring it to me and get a good job done.

Geo. H. Camp has rented the Butter-field house and will continue to make it one of the best boarding houses in the city. Mrs. Butterfield will leave as soou as she is able on a trip for her health.

The very "best of corn meal can be had at the Savonsburg mill for $1.20 per hundred, or 30 cts. per sack. Chas. Nyman hais his new house on his farm almost completed, and it will be ready for use in another week. C.

Wiman, Teacher. Nature has decreed, that in some parts of the country at least, it shonld be cold in winter, but sh has generously provided for those who seek a milder climate. and fined. The trial of Wra. Myers for assaulting a negro, is occupying the attention of the court as we go to press.

Kansas has more soldiers of the late war according to population than any state in the Union, and Ohio has the largest number by actual count. We hear complaining nearly every day from our farmers about there not being sufficient hitching racks along Main street to tie their teams to when they come to town. This matter should be looked after, as it is very disgusting to our farmers to come to town and not be able to find a place to hitch their teams.

Rev. B. F. Corgey, the new Methodist minister assigned to this circuit, will preach his first sermon at the church in this city Sunday at 3 o'clock p. m.

Everybody should turn out and hear him. He comes highly reccommended by the confrence, and we speak the sentiments of -the church here and the entire community in giving him a hearty welcom. If the present condition of the weather keeps up much longer, it will put the farmers behind in getting in their crops. Every farmer in this part of the county will go into the fields as soon as the ground is dry enough, with an extra team or two. We have heard no complaint from our farmer so far, but if the rain don't "let up" pretty soon, the prospects for getting in early crops will look very discouraging.

The United Stated authorities have been investigating the scheme of the Cherokee City Company, which have been selling lots at $2 apiece through the country, with a view of assertain-ing their ways of doing business; but after due consideration United States District Attorney Ady decided that the promises of the company being only conditional they had not violated the postal laws.Bronson Pilot. Chas. Nelson went to Kansas City last week and bought an elegant lino of new groceries and queensware. Charley is enjoying an immense tranc, and aims to keep his stock full and complete. The ladies aid society will give a hard times social at the hall this evening for the benefit of the M. E.
