NEW MILL FOR LOUISVILLE Daniels Mill to be Remodeled Clean Empty Bottles. As soon as a milk bottle is emptied, rinse it thoroughly with cold water. Do not return dirty bottles and do not use milk bottles except to hold milk. Returning dirty bottles to the milkman may mean that a few days later either you or your neighbors will get contaminated milk. Milk bottles should never be taken into a sick room.

In case of infectious or contagious disease all bottles should le boiled thoroughly and should not 1-e returned to the dealer without the express permission of the attending physician. Such diseases easily can be made epidemic through disregard of this precaution. Curried Cheese. Dissolve three tablespoonfuls of butter in a small saucepan, then stir in gradually half'a cupful of milk and a small sliced onion. APow to cook slowly until the onion is tender.

Grate two ounces of Parmesian cheese, add it to the mixture in the saucepan and stir until dissolved. Add seasoning to taste, and pour over rounds of hot buttered toast. Serve at once. HIGH SCHOOL NOTES Football season is on. Miss Darby spent Saturday and Sunday at her home in Topeka.

Sara Sullivan and Margaret Guil-foil visaed in Manhitlan Sunday. The German class had recitation sitting aroand the cook stove Friday. Chapel exercises every Tuesday and Thursday at 1 o'clock. Everybody invited. Phydcs apparatus came Thursday.

Ileieafter the physicj class will have laboratory worK. Margaret and Maud Guilfoil are staying at Mrs. Eggers' this year to attend school. Effie Shaw was absent three quarter of a day this weei; on account of sickness. Ihe first chapel was held Thursday, Sept.

28, conducted by Ms. Darby and Miss Glenn. Sara S. taught school for Miss Janie Taylor Friday, Sept. 29.

Mis: Taylor had a cold but is better at this writing. The following high school officers were elected Friday: President, Sara Sullivan; secretary, Effie Shaw; cheer leader, David Homewood. The pupils of the high school and other young folks enjoyed a surprise party given by Leland Baughman on his brother, Lloyd, Saturday night. The girls' basket ball team had their first practice Wednesday night. 1 hey were very much pleased with the result and their opponents this year will have to "hump" to win a game.

Frances Willard Day program: America, school; solo, Conrad Odle; sketch of Miss Willard's life, Miss Darby; Origin of Frances Willard Day, Miss Glenn readings by several of the pupils. Miss Glenn's mother and brother of Waverly, Kanr, motored to Louisville Friday, October 6, to visit Miss Glenn. Mrs. Glenn, Mr. Joe Glenn and Miss Mary Glenn spent Saturday and Operated as Flouring Mill A deal has been closed whereby Mr.

John Fulton becomes the owner of the Daniels mill. Mr. Fulton now has the machinery here for a 25-bbl. mill and it will be installed and put in operation as soon as possible. Mr.

Fulton has the equipment, knowledge and experience for making a high-grade flour, and the people of this community will again have the pleasure of using a Louisville-made flour and mill products. The electric light question now appears to be in a fair way of being solved in a manner beneficial to all. A plant of ample size can be easilv handled in connection with the mill, to the mutual profit of all concerned. Electric lights for our business houses, residences and streets are greatly to be desired, and will be used with added pleasure if furnished by home concern. It is earnestly hoped that the plans of Mr.

Fulton and the Louisville Boosters will work out satisfactorily to all concerned. Charles Kemper Well Drilling and Pump Repairing and Sunday in Manhattan and Riley. Since moving into the church Mr. Henry Martin and Supt. George Richardson have visited us.
