A. These largo fields of wheat extend as far as the eye can reach, and there is not a spot of ground in the three different fields but what is covered with the rioh and yellow grain.

There were seven headers on the ground and it was the intention of the owners to commence operations last Monday. All of the surrounding 'country and orops look fine, and it is more than probable that the Arkansas Valley will once more astonish the world with her abundant yield of all kinds of grain. The ball at the Howard House Thursday evening was the grandest afijalr of the season.
