H. Rurs visited us a while one day this week and made enquiries into the newspaper business. Horace is a candidate for trustee, of this township, and will make a good officer. He has the credit, of turning in as good a set of assessors books as has ever been turned in in the county, both as to equalization of values and neatness and correctness of work. Sol Huttou, who -lives about 8 miles northwest of Hill City, sold and delivered here 203 head of fine cattle to a man from Maukato, the first of the week.

They were taken out on a stock extra. Sol is one of the boys who came west without anything, but by hard work and good management he steadily accumulated a little each year and "stuck to it."
