Bucks Grove. Sunday school was better attended last Sunday. We are glad to see the increase in attendance. Keep on coming. Preaching next Sunday morning and evening.

A. E. Venneberg and family spent Sunday at C. E. Kroth's.

The Buck's Grove boys are taking great interest in practicing for their military drill. A much needed rain arrived in this part of the country Monday morning which was appreciated by all. A. Marts was in Soldier Saturday evening. Ivan Clements.

has been suffering with blood poison in his hand and Earl Woodruff visited at home over Sunday. A good many people attended the funeral of Frank Payne at the church Wednesday afternoon. Nannie Bahret from Centralia visited here over Sunday. Institute is over and we have the girls back again. This is good for class No.

7 for the class was beginning to grow slim. Stella Kroth will leave, Wednesday for Hennessy, Oklahoma, where she will visit with her sister, Esther Clements. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McMullen spent Sunday wIth Chas.

The immediate cause of his death was an attact of accute indigestion, coupled with extreme old age, he being over 86 years old. The funeral was held at the residence Tuesdav at 2:30 p. m. The Post Office to Close at 7:30 Postmaster Achenbach has decided after consulting the wishes of the business men, to close the office at 7:30 p. m.

-Mrs May Peck and children came down from Onaga this morning to visit with her parents. -Grandma Riley with Geraldine and Frances left this morning for Cherryvale; Kansas, to visit two weeks. Miss Laura Loughmiller arrived home from Oklahon.a this morning. She has been teaching there the past. school year.

Last week was very hot here, tho nothing suffered but the gardens, Rain came early Monday, and probably a half inch fell by sun down. The air was cooled and everything refreshed. -The 4th. of July will be here next week. Let us furaish you with the ice cream for that picnic dinner, Please let us know, a few days before what quantity you will want.

Geo. Hamilton went to Atchison Saturday for a weeks visit with relatives. On account of my sickness I wish to sell my cow and her five weeks old male calf. The cow is a dandy good milker. If in need of a cow, see me soon GEO DAYTON.

-C. E. Friend and son Paul came up from Lawrence Sunday. They visited at Goffs that day, and here Monday a and Tuesday, Mr. Friend attending the meeting of the directors of the State Bank Tuesday.
