The lawn was beautifully lit up: After playing many lively social games on the lawn, they all did justice to aN lunch Senior Locals Boys, do unto others as you would wish to be done by- "take the girls to the foot ball games." The Freshmen should learn that a good recitation occasionally helps- your grades. This year the Senior class again numbers sixteen, for since our Junior year we have lost one of our members.

Rollin Morrison was unable to return and finish with us. His absence has left a place in the class which we are not able to fill, for he was a thorough student and an all around good-fellow, but, since one had to go, we are glad that it was one who was a credit to the class of '08 and II. H. S. To him that hath (money to advertise), Shall be given (trade), But to him that hath not, Shall be taken away even that which he hath.

Seniors, let's have pennants. class of '08 elected the following officers for the present year Mabel E. Marsh, president Ximena J. Beardsley, vice president; Lola P. Carter, secretary and treasurer.

The Seniors were the first to have a class gathering. They took a trip to Landon's creek Sept. 14. On account of too much work Mr. Spangler and Miss Altaian were unable to attend so JVIr.

Butts had more than his share of cliaperpn duties. The Seniors are taking up a purse for purchasing a mirror which the Juniors want and need badly but are unable to get for lack of price. A very enjoyable time was had despite, the absence of the "dear The Proper Spirit was very much in evidence until we reached town where it is said we did something awful, but to that we can only say, Who's there?" We, may later in the year organise a basket ball team and give a challenge to a team made up of the LET US PRAY. If the High school establishes the projected paper, let us devoutly pray that it will be free from the inexcusable drivel and rot that characterizes many student papers at Colleges and considerable, school correspondence in newspapers.
