Along The Mail Routes Items for Route Patrons by special Correspondents NUMBER Geo. Hulse and family spent Sunday at Mr. Likes. C. A.

Guy and family visited Justice Court Last Wednesday the much watched for case of Lacy Murlott vs V. A. Anderson was brought before Justice Gum and finally settled. We are somewhat at a loss as to the real case as they first started in on an attachment case, then went to blackmail and finally ended with a pure case of adulfcry It seems that this one Vick Anderson had been tangled up in various positions with the plaintiff and for compense had promised her, some furniture and a buggy and harness which he afterward tried to take out of town and she pounced on it with all fours. Such is the big deal as we under stand it as the testimony at the trial and the affidavit is full of holes and badly tangled, we do not produce it.

It is simply a case of rot all the way through. Little River Route One Mr. Laurence Burke and Miss Alice F( rtier visited friends in McPherf-n Sunday Mr.E.H. Rutledge Miss Julia Baines and Mrs. W.

Editor Windom Press, Windom, Kans. Dear Sir: As I have been ie-ceiving your paper for the past month, I take this liberty of addressing you to inquire through whoso kindness I am receiving it. It is very gratifying indeed to learn that the "old home town" is again coming to the front, as it has always been my opinion, that nothing will bring a town to the front as quick or as surely as a good breezy paper, which I am not loath to acknowledge yours seems to be. I am not at home but a small portion of the time, consequently have only seen one or two copies of the paper, but those I have seen were indeed a credit to yourself, as well as the town, from which you hale.

While Topeka is now my home, there will always be fond recollections of the little town of Windom and the people residing therein. Yours truly, B. G. Krebbs. Ben Horner and wife visited their son Robert, inLangley, last week.

H. McBride my im- plements, and I wish to thank The Great Ball Game Last Saturday there occured, in our city, -an event that will never be forgotten in the minds of the older class of citizens, when at three o'clock the umpire C. Myers, called time for a game that had been matched between the Farmers and regular team of Windom. The game started off with snap and vigor and remained such throughout the entire game and only once was rangling the most prominent feature. While it had been a long time since the farmers had played any ball their old jinger came back to them about the eighth inning and if another game is ever played the score which is a sky scraper 11 not run so high, but on this oc-cassion it was necessary as the Windom team kept making more and more and the farmers determined to win the game of course had to keep them coming.
