We are glad to note the increased attendance at our prayer meetings. It One of our Sunday school girls brought a list last Sunday of some half dozen names whom she had invited to Sunday school. This is surely commendable. Quite frequently on the street a strange little face will bright en up and say, "I am coming to Sur-day school next Sunday." Some body is working to enlarge the attendance by giving those invitations. It is a yery commendable work and each pupil sho uld follow the example above mentioned.

"Does it pay?" This is frequently the response given when some of pur good brethren are reminded of the date set for our great conventions. "Why not stay at home and spend what the convention will cost you on the poor It is a noticeable fact that these good people have few calls for help and with many the reply is made to the few. Quite a number from the different churches worshiped with us last Lord's day. Several of our ministers are out of town. H. F. Delano is quite sick with heart trouble, and his son lloscbe is down with typhoid fever.

Their home is 410, Second East. Mrs. Elizabeth Foraker, 303 Ninth west, united with us by statement. She the land who are discouraged with their struggles at home. How it lifts one up to realize the church of Christ is triumphant even though many have to struggle for their life! If there is no gain but gold the book agent is about the only one whois or attending a convention.

But who is able to estimate the value of the great influence concentrated in such a gathering. Here we strike hands with our heroes and learn lessons from: our pioneers. We drink of the fountain of wisdom which overflows with many years filling. We are electrified by the power and zeil that constitutes the patent en ergy of the church today. We are encouraged by reports, of triumph where the fight is harder than our own.

We are enlightened by those leaders who home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Crow, on3 half mile west of Salt Creek school house, last Monday at ten o'clock.

It was a very sad loss to this home, the child being sick but a few days. A large number of friends gathered at the home and followed to the little grave in East Side cemetery, where she lies to await the resurrection of Last Sunday afternoon the editor went to Sam Hill school house near Castleton, this county, and preached tr splendid audiences at five and eight p. m. One Bro. Farris came up in the forenoon and worshiped with iif, and lead the way to our appointment.

Moore accompanied us and added much pleasure to the trip. Bro is the mother of Miss Lillian, who was baptized the 29th ult. Mrs. G. S.

Black well is just recovering from her all so as to sit up a little. Her injuries are nor serious, but have been very painful. She is still at 207 East, the home of Mayor.
