We do not care particularly about such attacks, as they do us no injury, and only show the venom of snch towns as Garden City, Kidgeway and Belfast, but we have been long suffering and patient in submitting to them, and patience with us has almost ceased to be a virtue. The occasion of the attack upon Dodge City grew out of a row between two gamblers and "pimps" who lived at Garden City over a common prostitute, who also resided there. The Democratic Convention which met at Leavenworth on the 4th, and completed its labors on the 5th of the present month, by nominating an entire state ticket seems to have been composed of the best elements of the Democracy of the state. All of the "old timers" were there, and a general rejoicing was indulged in personal strife and bitterness seems to have been forgotten in the universal desire of the convention to forget the factional fight heretofore existing in the eastern part of the state, and to unite all the discordant elements of the party.
