A very happy weddingo ccurred at the elegant home of Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Owens, Tuesday morning, December 20.

The contracting parties were Mr. B. F. Owens of Rocky Ford, and Miss Hal lie Owens of Council Grove. The house was decorated for the occasion.

At ten o'clock precisely, the bridal party entered the parlor to the sweet strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march, played by Miss Ruth Cady, The groom was accompanied by his brother, Mr. Thomas Owens of La Junta, the bride was escorted by her sister, Miss Maud Owens. After taking their places beneath the drooping mistle-toe, Rev. Betts pronounced the solemn words which made, the happy couple man and wife. Amidst tears, smiles and kisses, they received the happy conglatulatioiii of relatives and friends, after winch an elegant breakfast was served.

The bride was attired in an elegant navy blue taffeta and carried a huge boquet of brides roses, and looked very sweet and happy. The groom was smiling and handsome in conventional Llack. Miss Maud was gowned all in white, and looked most charming. The happy couple were the recipients of many elegant and useful presents.
