Subscription, 7 Circulation, 25 Cents Ter Year. 500 Copies annual session. Provided, however, that the members in attendance from any county shall have the right to nominate the member of the ties committee from their respective coun- ARTICLE VI Duties of Officers. The duties of these officers shall be the' same as usually appertain to such offices, with these additions, viz: First, the Secretary shall pre-pare and furnish certificates of membership. Second, the Treasurer shall keep an account of all receipts and disbursements of money Third the Executive Committee shall arrange the program aud publish the same at least four weeks before the day set for the annual meeting Said Executive Committee shall also examine the treasury and report its condition on the last day of each annual session.

ARTICLE VII Publishing the Constitution The constitution of this association, together with the names of its legal officers, shall be published in and made part of the annual program. ARTICLE VIII-Amendments. The constitution may be amended at any regular meeting by a two-third vote ot the members present. Roberts' Rules of Order shall govern all deliberations of this body which are not covered by the constitution. Entered at the Post Office at Scott City, Kansas, for transmission through the mails as second-class matter.

Scott City, Kansas. It Does Not Pay. It does not pay to argue too much with pupils as to the justice of a punishment. If you have given sufficient thought to resolve upon a certain course, pupils should understand your decision is not a subject for discussion. Be just and firm.

If you make mistakes in school, correct them as you do mistakes out of school. It does not pay to let little things worry you. Often that is the very reason they are done. Remember that if a pupil persistently does annoying things, it is the result of the pupil's carelessness, or your ability to make him respect you. If the former, worrying will not correct the habit; if the latter, you ought not to show annoyance.

It does not pay to stand too much. Many a lady teacher wears herself out by not resting judiciously. Very dress of Each. E. E.

Dr. Cleveland of Salina, will deliver two lectures. His subject on Thursday evening will be, "The Oratory of Wendell Phillips," and on Friday evening, "Culture and the Common Welfare." Free entertainment will be provided for all who come, and our citizens will gladly welcome you to the hospitality of their homes.
