Thrown From Her Horse. Tuesday afternoon as Mrs. Arch Glover was coming to town, horseback, her horse became frightened and threw her off. Her dress becoming entangled on the horn of the saddle, she was dragged some distance, though how far she does not know, as she lost consciousness as soon as she fell to the ground. When she recovered she made her way to the residence of Robt.

Jennings, where medical attendance was at once summoned. It was found upon examination the horse had evidently kicked her on the head, as a cut nearly four inches long on the crown of her head had laid the scalp open. Her left ankle was bruised considerably. Happily no bones were broken and at present she is recovering as rapidly as could be expected. Notice.

The west-bound mail and express that arrives at 5:52 p. will reach here fifty-two minutes later. The west-bound express which arrives at 4:37 a. remains unchanged. The west-bound freight that makes such a struggle daily, except Sunday, to get in from two to six hours after schedule time, 10:38 a.

will now be given forty-two minutes longer to reach here. The mail and express going east in the morning will arrive here at 9:53, forty-five minutes earlier, the night express at 11:20, seventeen minutes later, while the freight that arrives from the west at 1 :40 in the afternoon, or somewhere in that neighborhood, will' attempt to come in on time every day, except Sunday, at 3:25. The passenger train service on the Rock Island is splendid, and trains are nearly always on time, but the freights well, they arrive here when they get here. will be found with every car to attend to the wants of our patrons.
