-LJ 9-lu Al Xiles. Register. Our agricultural editor was knocked silly when Capt H. A. Billow, of the south side, brought in his samples the other day.

Corn in roasting ears, filled and tasseled, on stalks eight feet high and six inches around, caused him to faint. The corn was raised on the sod and contains three and four stalks to the hill, what better evidence do we want of the fertility the soil. A Lunch of sorguin, seven feet high nine stalks to the hill beat all. Millet which will run from two to three bushels to the acre is now here compared to what the captain has. Its away up.

A bundle of oats with every head filled, was the subjVct of much comment, one man guessed it at thirty biibhels to the acre. A sample of blue fsteni was a perfect Gdiath among grasses and measured seven feet high raised the open prairie. AYho can beat tliis?
