This cry has been raised to divide the people on the question of prohibition. A question that was settled eleven years ago by an amendment to the constitution of the state.

These money loaners think by raising the old whisky howl that they can again array neighbor against neighbor and while they are fighting over these imaginary principles the monopolist can still be retained in power and enact laws to further desolate homes and load with unjust debt the people of the state. In Rooks connty for the last five years they have been having the people fighting an enemy that had no existence while they were robbing them of their homes. It is well understood that this campaign is one between the people on one side and the agents and tools of mortgage companies on the other. There is being circulated by these parties the most outrageous slanders and lies about every candidate on the people's ticket. The people have declared for certain principles and with these published to the world they ask the suffrages of America.

These principles are the issue of this campaign. They are never mentioned by the opposition. Their campaign is one of slander and back-bight-ing. The industrial classes should in the coming election be a unit for the people's ticket. We appeal to you men to stand by your ticket and save your home from those who have robbed your neighbor of hip, without paving one cent for It.
