F. DUNCAN. The College Btui'l was out ou the cam. pus "this afternoon playing a few of their choicest selections. The boys make one of the best bands in the state.

The Merchants Hotel will run their four horse Omnibus from all trains to any part of the city during the week. The yaung ladies and gentlemen of the College are busy decorating the chapel for commencement exercises tomorrow. Mr Ed Freeman is manufacturing the window caps and cornice for Mr Carlson's new building on west Lincoln street, he will also put in walks of the same material. Mr Geo. Wagoner and Miss Maggie AVoody of Witchita made a short but pleasant visit to Mrs S.

S. Jenkins last week, they returned home yesterday morning. Our enterprising real estate firm of Ringwald Ilcnman come out to day with a large full page advertisment which all, who desire to invest in Kansas dirt should inspect carefully. The new residences just being completed by Messrs Carlson Johnson on west Lincoln stieet are amoug the finest in the city, a few more of like nature will add much to the alreadv attractive picture Liudsborg presents. Billy Luce who has for the past six months been the foreman of this office has taken a three weeks "lay off" during which time he will visit his parents at Plcasanton, this state.

During his stay here he has made many fast friends who wish him a pleasant trip. Mr Alex Robb of Galva is in the city to day. He will remain here and attend the commencement exercises this week He reports that a large portion of Galva people will attend the exercises this week. There is a splendid opening for some good house wife to open a eood business here. A small pie factory that could turn out "pies that is pies" conld put a wagon on the road and supply McPherson, Salina and other small towns in the suburbs of Lindsborg.

There is money in it if worked properly. A unison of public spirit will make the entertainment of our visitors during the week, one that they will remember and taken with them to their eastern homes. L. Enstrom the foreman of the Fra-mat office is sick, that boy did it. Mr B. II. Fisher went to MePeerson en business this morning.

The popular resort for hot and cold baths at the Palace barbershop. Frank Collins keeps the best stock of confectionary in the city. The mathematical examination commenced at one thirty this afternoon. The finest residence property in the city, in the College addition. The carpenters are busy putting in the last of the seats in the chapel.

Meals will be served at the dining halls of the college for tweDty five cents each. Mr C. R. Orgren, of Osage city arrived this morning- He will make this his future home. For ice cream and lemonade go to the Red Front store, next door to Merchants Hotel.

For the finest horses and double carriage in Liudsborg go to the Merchants Hotel. Charges reasonable. Allen Wilber and wifs attended the iiemmorial servsces at McPherson yes-terda y.
