Vierra's Royal Hawaiians To-night at School Hall. WILLIAMSBURG STAR VOL. 29. NO. 46.

WILLIAMSBURG, KANSAS, THURSDAY, MARCH 24, 1921. PUBLISHED THURSDAY OBITUARY OBITUARY Ruth Augusta Steele was born at Baldwin, Kansas, on January 22nd, 1893, and died of pneumonia at her home at Turon, aged 28 years, one month and nine days. She was united in marriage to George C. Bover and to this union were born five children, two girls and three boys, whom, with the husband, survive her. She leaves also two sisters and four brothers and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was a loving faithful wife and mother and her loss will be keenly felt in the home. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Turon on March 6th, at 2 o'colck and burial was in the Turon cemetery. The Ladies' Guild will have good things to eat Saturday, March. 26th, at the Drug store. FOR SALE 10 head work horses and mules, 3 to 5 years old.

MARRIED On Thursday, March 17, 1921, Mr. James C. Hayden of Kansas City and Miss Jennie Carey of Independence, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at Ottawa, Kansas, by the Rev. W.

A. Elliott. They will make their future home at Kansas City. Miss Carey is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

R. Carey of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Hayden spent a few days here last week the guests of the latter's parents.

SURPRISE DINNER Mrs. Laura Allen was treated to a very pleasant surprise Sunday when her son and brother and their families came to spend the day. The guests brought well filled baskets and at 1 o'clock an elaborate dinner was served. Those present, were Mrs. Laura Allen, Mrs.

Max Allen and children, Maxine and Ralph Burton, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Bush and children, Charles, and Virginia. Mrs.

Mary Likes Langley and baby of Enterprise, and George Likes, of Lindsborg, motored here Thursday for a short visit with their grandmother, Mrs. Perkins, and family. Lawrence Davis Friday evening, March 18, in honor of Miss Lilah Cade and Mr. Floyd Timberlake. The house was beautifully decorated in hearts to suit the occasion. Many beautiful and useful presents were received. The time was spent- in playing games.

Light refreshments of ice cream and cake were served to about fifty people. The guests de parted at a late hour, having enjoyed a very pleasant evening, but rather curious to know when the wedding bells would ring.
