M. Goodman and wife returned home Monday after visiting their sons Frank and Martin in Topeka over Sunday. Chas. Stafford left Tuesday for Spokane where he has a job as ticket ckrk for the Great Northern railroad, Aleck Spence was in Norlon-ville last week with her mother, Mrs. Aleck McCoy, who was quite sick.

Mrs. C. IT. King left on Tuesday for Chicago where she will spend about three weeks visiting her old friends. On her return trip Mr.

King will join her at Kansas City and the will visit friends a "few days. Mr. and Mrs. G. W.

Eoss and family are visiting Mrs. Eoss' parents, Dr. and Mrs. J. T.

B. Gephart. Mr. Eoss is candieate for State Superin tendent of Schools and is out in the interest of the office. Claude Burnett stopped off here over Sunday to visit his parents.

Dr. and Mrs. Burnett on his way home from Colorado Springs where he has been spending his vacation. He was also visiting a friend but we did n8t quite catch the name but 'spect she is a mighty tine girl. A.

I Will O'Neil this week started a force of men to work on the foundation for his new home. The building when completed will be a bungalow and will be modern in every sense of the word. It will be 34x40 feet wish a basement under the enslre building. It will be a frame structure. The main attraction for the carnival has been signed.

It is the one we spoke about last week that the committee was trying to secure Lionel Legare. He will be here with one of the best attractions that townsjof this size ever have. Besides" this the Valley Falls Band will give concerts every day and there will be another smaller attraction all fiee. In the pay at tractions there will be some very unique novelties but as they liave not been! undecided upon the committee thought it best not to. give them out yet.

Of course there will be the cus tomary merry-go-round and ferris but these others will be different.
