Doty, of this city, as one of the delegates for this congressional district to the demo-c 'atic convention. With such a unanimity of feeling in the matter Mr. Doty should experience no trouble in getting there.

G. C. Sentinel. William end Lee Mclnteer two young men from Kentucky bought the relinquishments to the claims of Tom and Ruben Welch ten miles south west of here. The boys before coming to this country had heard so much about claim jumping that they started for Garden City before daylight Tuesday morning to make their tiling before any one else would get ahead of them.

Hall, the enterprising real estate man, has said for all his remaining interest in the Highland addition to the thriving town of Santa Fe. The purchase was made by a syndicate of Santa Fe gentlemen, whose object is to harmonize the interests of the town by maintaining all the old street lines as originally laid out. This ca'e does not by any means wipe out Dr. Hall's interest in the town, as he yvthoidsa large portion of the real estate in tho original town plat. It is probably, needless to add that the town company is going ahead with renew od vigor to make Santa Fe even more successful in the future than it has been in the past.
