George Hunter was in town Wednesday, for the second time, in 3 months. We thought for a time that he would want a lot in the cemetery, but it will be a long time by the way he looks now before he will want it. The Oregon papers still keep their readers posted as to the doings of mad dogs. Our people seems to think It is not worth while to pay any attention to the warning thus given, although there is all of 300 dogs running at large here. Some thief, and one of the meanest kind at that, robbed a poor man of two pair of pants and other clothing, by taking them off the clothes line, one night last week.

This thing has gone about as far as it Is healthy, and some one will find himself going to his long home by the 6hot gun route. We wonder bow the woman feels who is wearing the under shirt stolen from the clothes-line in Wakefield's yard, one night last week. The person that stole it had better return it, or he will likely have the one who is wearing it being under the necessity of undressing in a court room. It is said we have never tried the ex periment that when one is hurled into the air by a bursting of a boiler he thinks of all the evil he has committed in a long life. If this be true there are some men in this country who would have to stay up about three months order to do this subject Justice.

The Wilbertorce Concert Company gave an entertainment here last Friday' night, and were greetet with a large and appreciative audience. Their sing Ing is good, and the object for which they labor is worthy, and they should be well patronized wher ever they go We can safely say that all who hear them once would not hesitate to patro nize them again. Less dogs running at large in the streets. The new barbers well patronized. More money in active circulation. Thieves and gamblers compelled to leave the town. More of our citizens visit the public school.

Our citizens use more paint and white wash, on their buildings and fences. More patronage of home institutions. The Band and about 100 others paid their respects to Rev. C. Mi near and wife, Monday night kind of a "good bye" visit.

Several very useful books, and a purse containing 923 wercgiven them as a parting gift. We are glad to see some ot the deni zens of this place show their taste for beauty, by putting out shade trees. All who own property here should do something toward beautifying the place, and there is nothing that will help the looks ot a town, or that can be done so cheap as setting out trees. Let every one attend to It, and plant trees. Mr.

and Mrs. Joseph Abrams started for Fresno City, Fresno last Monday. They go to California with the intention of making that State their home, but have not fully decided In just what part they will locate. Their many friends here wish them success, and the Review will make them weekly visits to their far off home. Some persons in town killed a hog belonging to John Hook, that he had been offered 925 for.

Mr. Hook has a partial list of the names of those who had a hand in the business, and he pro poses to make times lively for the en tire gang. He does not Intend to raise hogs for all the dead beat and thieves in the country. His Farewell. Sunday night Rev.

C. Minear delivered his farewell sermon to one of the largest congregation that has gathered together tor many years, and was a just tribute of our people to a worthy and good man. and it also shows how highly he is esteemed by White Clonders. We have seen other preachers come and go from White Cloud, but no one has ever went away from here that takes with them the respect and best wishes of so large number as does Mr. and Mrs C.

Minear. For the benefit of persona owning chickens, Ac, and who permit the same to run at large, we publish the fallowing section, which can be found in the new Ordinances of the city: Sec. 6, Ordinance No. 18.
