The democratic brethren are requested to be present. Charles Talmage who waj in business in Ellis ten years ago, has returned to Ellis to live.

He informs us that when he was in business hero, Thos. Daly was his only competitor. There have been fomc slight changes since then. According to numerous exchanges, 1 the postoffice department is soon te ba a new style of postal cards. It is very much like a double card of the present pattern.

The back folds are split diagonally and opens like a four pointed star. The four corners, are folded and joined in the center, when the. 'card is' ready for mailing, with a piece of gummod paper. The card weighs less than half an ounce, and will no Wore writing than the present card, the only advantage being greater privacy. Republican Club Meeting.
