Harrington who lives Dear llosemont, was burning off grass when he lost control of the flames. Thinking Ihe Btables were in danger he called the family out to help fight the firev his wife and 16 esr old daughter came to his assistance and almost immediately the clothing of the latter caught fire from the blazing grass and she was instantly enveloped in flames, to extinguish which all efforts Were fruitless until the parents carried her to an adjacent pond. A physician was called, but the fire hud done its work too well, and she died after live hours of terrible suffering. The hands of the father and mothtf were also seriously burned.
