Mr. Frost hasmoved back to Ottawa. Jennie Huff is visiting friends at Ottawa. The Princeton House is without an occupant. Dr.

Richman was elected Supt. of the M. E. Sunday School. Mr.

Butler, principal of our schools, is attending the normal. Miss S. Robb left on Monday to visit friends at Independence, Kas. The oats harvest is progressing The crop is reported as being rather light. Our teachers report themselves well pleased with the management of the normal.

Elder Martin and lady, of Iola, spent a few days with Mr. Martin's parents living south west of this Pat McLindon has built a nice sumuer kitchen. John McGlinchy sold his fat cat tle to Mr. Brown of Richmond. John McDonald of FlorenceKan made his friends a short visit last week.

Hake, of Norwood, made us a call yesterday. He is an extensive breeder of JEIol stein cattle and 'showed us a gold medal 'feceiveci' at the Bismark fair for best thor ough-bred Holstein bull and 5 calves. He also showed a letter from Ohio where one of his grade bulls, only one-half pure blood, was awarded highest honors at the Canton (O.J fair. Mr. Hake will have a sale on Saturday, July 25th at Forest Park, Ottawa.

A- Comrades, at the last meeting of Resacca Post, it was determined to hold a festival at the school house in Walliam6burg on Saturday evening July 25th, for the purpose of replen-ingthe Relief Fund. This is a worthy object, tact it is the first and highest duty of our order, and we believe will enlist the earnest efforts of every comrade.

It is desired also to organize the Woman's Relief Corps, which is an auxiliary of the G. A. and bas been eminently successful, infusing new life and interest into our work wherever established. Let every comrade be present, Bring your wives, daughters, moth ers and sisters, your neighbors and and their families bring everybody. Let us provide for the relief of those who will sooner or later need our help, and at the same time secure the active co-operation of our loyal women in tnis, our most important dutv.
