B. E. Alijsox. Ajrent. G11M i 1 lauklai Couil, fecaooi Convention which was held at Ottawa Monday and Tuesday March 3rd and 4th, was one of the most interesting and best attended conventions ever held in the county.

The report of the Sec. showed that there were 13 organ-nized, and 4 unorganized townships, and that 10 have held conventions. There are 75 schools in the county having 800 Sunday school officers ana 5370 scholars, making a total membership of 6230; divided among 1G denominations. There were 5 new schools organized in the county during the year. This year there were 287 conversions in the Sunday school, being a or anything in the Dry Goods line will do well to call at my house in the next few weeks.

$55.62 was raised by the convention for State Sunday school work. The Sec. explained that the money was used to pay the State Sec. who is the only salaried officer, for printing the minutes, 500 of which cost $600 and to pay postage on the same. $300 is pledged to the international Sunday School Convention and lastly to pay for prominent men and women whose services make the State Convention more interesting.

Illinois is the banner Sunday. School State, with Kansas only a short instance behind. The State Sec. thought the way to place Kansas ahead was to be more liberal with our money. A resolution was passed requesting that the claims of the State Convention be presented to each school in the county each year in the convention.

The discussions on the various subjects were b.oth interesting and instructive show ing that the officers and members were earnest and sincere in their work.
