Wagon load after wagon load of folks who came five, eight and iwvlve miles to see and hear jv St. John, Hon.

Jesse Harper and others, wero compelled to' return on account of not having money to pay a gate foe of 10 cents for individuals nnd 35 cents for teams. Had Mr. Thos. J. ed in the bills that an admission fee would bave becii charged on Sunday then the people would not have thought any thing, of if, and would have come prepared to pay.

We (Horace J. Newberry) would have made it known through the columns of the Advance had we been informal of It In lime. But Mr. C. never said a word to us about charging a gate fee until after the paperof last week was print.

ed and mailed. Thus keeping the people from ftnowin? for fear they would not come out. We believe in au admis sion fee as a means of defraying necessary expenses incurred in. getting speakers, but we don't believe in taking people unawares. If a gate fee Is to be charged at Lincoln Park the same should be so advertised.

For the people have cars and they hear, eves havo they and they see; hence it be-nooves the manager of Lincoln Park to have everything done right and in an acceptable manner. flo'to J. I'YLK'S SORGHUM. for good gTATE.UE.Vr. Mr.

Editor In your issue of Sept. 1st 'it is slated that Mr. Leo McKee died of quick consumption, which is an error, as the following autopsy, taken by the undersigned, will show, viz: The posterior walls of the pharnyx were congested, and covcrod with small ulcers, which ex tended to-the laruvx and upper pari of the trachea. The arvtenoid cartilage of the right side together with the vocal rd 3 were entirely gone, also all the lower half ot the cartilages of the larnyx. The puss had burrowed between the fracheannd assophagU3 to the depth of twelve lines or more, thus completely sev ering the bauds of the trachea, leav ing onlv the mucus lining of tho sesophagus to prevent the discharge nf the pms into the stomach.

The lower portion of the trachea was healthful. The extent of the disease was sufficient to produce asphyxia, the immediate caue of death. Signed: A. J. McIntosh.
