TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN WILLIAHA. JODON William Augustus Jodon was born at Milton, Pennsylvania, August 2, 1831, and passed away at the home of his son William, twelve miles north of Little River, Kansas, December 10, 1919, at the ripe old age of 88 years, 4 months and 8 days. He. was married to Margaret E. Etzweiler, in Pennsylvania, in 1855.

Of their seven children, George, their eldest, died in infancy. The others are Mrs- Rachel Brumbaugh of Huntington, Mrs. Mamie Kreger of Neosho, and Elliott E. Jodon, Mrs. Rhoda A.

Crandall and William A. Jodon of Little River, Kansas. The family lived for a number of years at Millersbnrg, Pa after which, in 1878, they came to Kansas, settling in the. eastern part of Ellsworth county. In 1881 tbey moved to a farm near Little River, and Mr.

Joddn managed the Larkin store in Little River for a few years. He then farmed for awhile, and then retired from active life, living a short time in Topeka, Kansas, and then returning and residing I will be at Dr. dme HOSPITAL NOTES (Hoffman Memorial.) The decision was unanimous for Little River. The judges were Dr. Ulrey. Rev. Moody and Mr Ed.

Lindell, all of Windom. Our affirmative team, composed of James Greenback, John Ayers and Orville Reuhlen, accompanied by Mr MoGill, went to Geneseo where they debated Geneseo's negative team The judges gave the decision to Geneseo by a vote of 2 to 1 This eliminates Geneseo from the County League and gives Little River a chance to try again for the silver cup- which, goes to the school winning the championship Watch Little Little River win the oup! All six of the debaters are to be congratulated on the way they handled and presented their arguments. It was the first debate for all of them, and tbey did exceptionally well indeed. John Clark is still improving. Mr. M. E. Dillon died December 12.

She waa afflicted with cancer. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Roy Williams December. 17.

Ayers, of the Methodist curbh of Little River, at the home, and burial was in Bean cemetery Deoember 12. Sunday School at 9:45 a. m. and preaching at 11, next Sunday, at our church. Let us concentrate on these two servioes, all being in our places, with every claw" full again, as on December 7th, when we had more than IPC in the Sunday Softool.

"Next Sunday is also membership day, and the Sunday before Christmas, which means a Christmas message. Epworth League at 6:45, and evening service at 7:30. On Christmas eve our Sunday Sohool will give its regular annual Christmas program. This is the first Christmas for five years when we have a real opportunity for observing this glad day. Let us make the most of it, and give the children the greatest Christmas they have ever had in real joy and happiness.

FRY CHAPEL. There was a fine attendance last Sunday at Sunday School and preaching. The churoh also is to have a Christmas program on Christmas eve, and a royal good Christmas time. The Ladies' Aid meets this week with Mrs. E.
