Frank Montee and family, living on Base Line, were all taken suddenly and seriously ill, all with the same symptoms. A doctor was called who pronounced it the efket of poisou of some kind. Remedies were appliad aud all are now feeling about as well as usual. What the poison was is not known, though we have heard that some think it was from soda or baking powder, while another opinion is advanced that it came from the milk, which might have been poisoned by tiie cows eating wild parsley. The latter opinion is based on the fact that two of their fine close of the services at the Methodist Church last Sabbath morning.

Burns Bond Jno. Burns, of this place, was united in the holy bond of matrimony to Miss Nervy Bond, of Tennessee, but recently of New Castle and Weir City, on Tuesday eve at Columbus. The young couple called upon the Father Bononciui to officiate, but the Father refused to uiary them owing to the bride being a Protestant. Baffled at this point the loving couple proceeded to Columbus were the nuptials performed to the satisfac tion of both. We wish the newly married pair much joy and that their future path may be corered with roses.

Bell were not so fortunate. Atwood made a clutch to save himself when he found the air becoming giddy, and his arm entered a forked frame, bis body descending unhindered until it reached the length of bis arm, when, horrors such a painful jerk he ne'er experienced before. How his arm was not severed from his body is a miraculous wonder. His arm is badly swollen but is favorable for speedy recovery as no bones were broked.
