Married. Taylor-Ordway At the home of the bride, in this city, on Thursday evening, December 1, 1892, Mr. T. S. Taylor and Miss Cora Ordway were united in marriage by J.

D. Andrews, pastor of the Christian church. The home of Mr. and Mrs. I.

F. Ordway, which was filled to overflowing with guests, bore a palatial appearance, so complete were the arrangements for this occasion. Promptly at the designated hour. 8 o'clock, the bride and groom slow ly wended their way to the accompani ment of a wedding marcn, executed oy Mr. R.

L. Ordway, to the archway dividing the parlor and sitting room, where they were met by Mr. Andrews, who in an impressive ceremony duly solemnized the nuptial vows. The congratulations which followed were none tue less sincere because of their being many, and if kind and earnest wishes are to prove a guiding dtar for future paths, Mr. and Mrs.

Taylor will certainly ue ravnren with happiness in the extreme. Following the congratulations, an elegant supper was served. The bride, who is tne eldest naiignier of Mr. and Mrs. I.

F. Ordway, in Plainville since girlhood, and during her residence here has woven a universal wreath of friends by her high character and true womanly qualities. The groom is a rising young business man of affable and congeniel ways and is fully deserving of the estimable companion he has chosen. The following presents were received by Mr. and Mrs.

The people at West Plainville and Zurich are talking of having a Christmas tree this year. A number of the young friends of John Rigdongave him a pleasant "surprise" Monday evening at his home. W. M. Castle arrived last Thursday from Brown county, to join his wife iu visiting Mr.

and Mrs. C. A. Burlin. Our Xmas goods are different from any vou will ffnd in the city.

Fike moved Monday to their home, northwest of Stockton. They have the best wishes of numerous Plainville friends. Geo. Burkholder, Frank Slason, Charley Rigdon and Ed. Mickey are expected home from the Wesleyan University at Sallna to spend the holidays.

Some one is bound to get that $10 Saturday night. The amount of goods you buy will get it, sure. Plainville Mercantile Co. Hiram Keas, of Twin Mound, is one of the farmers who will get our of debt this year. He has the necessary funds to pay his farm mortgage and have money left, all made out of this year's crops.

A series of protracted meetings were commenced Wednesday in theTomlinson school house, east of Plainville, by Rev. James P. Haworth, of Illonois, and Rev. Wm. Harris, of Osborne county, who are ministers of the Friends church.

We wish to thank the people of Plain ville and vicinity for their liberal patronage at the supper held in the West Plainville school house on last Friday evening for the purpose of raising money to buy an organ. The proceeds of the supper were the amount raised by subscription was $19, making a total of $42.75. Lillie Lackore, Teacher. A party of town people were royally entertained last Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs.

C. A. Burlin with progressive high-five. The evening's entertainment, which was given in honor of Mr. and Mrs.

Castle, was perfect, and reflected much credit upon the host and hostess. The refreshments served were elegant. The guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Shaw, Mr.

and Mrs. D. E. Mickey, Mr. and Mrs.

R. J. McClay, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor, Mr.

and Mrs. Cochran, Mr. and Mrs. Middaugu, H. F.

Don't forget it. Sheriff Hamilton, of Hays City, left Egypt and came over into Paradise the first of the week. A social hop will be given in the business building lately occupied by F. L.Ni-uer on Friday evening. Mrs.
