Raymond E. Close. The attendants were Harley and Manetta Rose, brother and sister of the bride. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Joseph Penn, pastor of the United Brethren church, and was witnessed by about forty of the relatives and friends.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Close represent Christian manhood and womanhood of the highest type, hence have the respect and esteem of all who know them, tokens of which, in the form of useful and beautiful presents were given. A bountiful repast was served, to which the guests did the fullest justice. That they may live long, useful and happy lives is the prayer of their friends.

Mrs. D. D. Hunt entertained her Sunday school class with a party at her home Friday evening. The children had a happy time with various kinds of games out of doors, after which refreshments were served.

A very pleasant evening was spent by all those present. If asked for advice by young men starting out in life we would try to impress upon them not to be vacillating. To this fault may be attributed so many of life's failures. Starting out without a purpose they have jumped about from one thing to another and succeeded in nothing. First decide what you want, then bend all your energies to attain that end.

To be somebody, and to be of some use in the world you must have a settled purpose. The ladies of St. Marys Catholic church will serve dinner and supper in the old Catholic church on Thanksgiving day. The young ladies and married ladies are already getting busy so as to be sure that every thing will be palatable on that day. Come and have your Thanksgiving dinner and supper with us.

The pastor, Father Chawke, and the congregation extend a hearty "cead mile failte," (100,000 welcome) to all, regardless of creed, nationality or race. Great Holiday Offer.
