Christmas Day for 1909 is past and for the first time for a number of years Me have enjoyed a good old fashion Christmas day. The snow covered the ground in good shape and afforded fine sleighing. The thermometer also stood where people could enjoy themselves and our citizens went back and forth visiting friends and relatives. During our time we don't remember of a more ideal Christmas day than the one just past.

To New Quarters, The new impliment building of G. P. Nixon is enclosed aud he moved his buggies and pump material this week. He will also move the warehouse now back of the Angell Hardware to the lots of his new quarters, in which he will store the rest of his implements. This wi'l not only make G.

and Mrs. James Doolittle enjoyed the presence of their sons Jay, Floyd and Clay and wife to dinner Sunday, making a family reunion While Mr. and Mrs. Doolittle family is not so large, yet as they have all grown to manhood they enjoy having them together under the parential roof. Their son Floyd boarded the train for the east Sunday evening.

Christmas Program. A nice crowd gathered at the E. church Christmas eve to witness the Missionary program put on by the Sunday School. Nearly all knew their parts and delivered them in good shape. The choir deserve special men tion for the way they handled the music.

Of course the christmas tree was the main feature for the children but tfie presents put on was oDly limited to those to the Sunday School acher and from the teacher, with the exception of two rocking chairs presented to Kevs Cox and llenslec, and the treats for the children. All present report a fine time and were well paid for venture through the saow Big Fur Deal. Last week our fur n.iin, C. E. Hammond went down thnroad a ways and closed a deal whereby he let goof N00 worth of furs.

E. lias certainly got the inside truck on the fur market as he seems to be paying away up for them. Such sales as these makes one feel as though he is in the business right. He came in and ordered a nice supply of stationery, shipping tags etc. which will help things look still more business like.

Came On Surprise. Mrs. H. A. Hoot, sister of Mrs.

Al. Eaton, and little grandson, also Geo. Swanp (Mine in from Colorado Springs last Thursday evening to visit the Al. Eaton lainily living on the P. P.

Brady place north of town. They haven't seen other for a number of years and they came in 011 surprise. Trial of Santa Claus. The Grammar room with Miss Zelnia Aekley as teachei and the Primary room with Miss Hutcherson as teacher, did much credit to both teachers and pupils last Thursday evening at the South Brethren church when they put on the play "The Trial of Santa It proved a grand success. In spite of the bad wcnflu the house was crowded to its utmost capacity.

From the little folks to the Judge. Sandman and Clown deserve much credit. These plays are not only interesting to the listuers but are vrv instructive to the pupils. The proceeds taken at the door was Si 1.70 at a 10 cent admission, which a little more than covered their expense. county..
