Come, brother and sister correspondents of the Exponent, let us roll up our sleeves and take tablet and pencil and assist in making the Exponent the nicest, spiciest newsiest, most useful and interesting paper published in this county if not in northwest Kansas. Let us discard personalties that would have a tendency to irritate the feelings of any one po-lilicaly, religiously or otherwise. Let us be so careful what we write and how we write that we wont hear any one finding fault with our being harsh or silly, yet let us be brave and not 'rash, courteous but not flattering, plain but not insolent, seeking for the best items in our vicinity, trying hard! to make each Week's communication more interesting than any that preceeded it. Let us search history, read good books and papers and so inform ourselves that we may each week add something to the general fund of needed information so that every reader of the paper will be for its weekly coming and eagerlv devour the correspondent's col urns as a much relished morsel. And now Mr.

We were glad to learn that there was to be a "Woman's Department in the Exponent and we hope the female readers of the Exponent will see to it that this department is no less interesting than any other part of the poper.
