W. ROBINSON Physician and Surgeon Day and Night Calls Answered Phone 40 Bison, Kan. Kansas City Live-Stock Market. Kansas City Stock Yards, July 22, 1912. Cattle sold a little lower all around last week, causing considerable protest from shippers.

Buyers claim consumption is decreasing, hence their be reluctant attitude. Shippers accordingly curtailed their consignments to-day at all the markets, resulting in a stronger market. Receipts here to-day amount to 10,500 cattle, besides 1600 calves. Prime cattle sold up to $9.55 today, and are called 10 higher in some cases. Pasture cattle were knocked 15 to 25 cents last week, and did no better than hold steady to-day.

Chase County took the premium to-day on this class, with some 1547 pound steers at nine dollars. Some big steers that came up from Texas this spring, from the same locality. brought $6.90. Greenwood and Butler contributed sparingly today, the best only going to $8.10. 1240 pounds.

Ellsworth and Saline came forward with a fair run, that sold at 86.40 to $7.60. Quar antines were in light supply today, 116 cur loads, and they are selling a shade stronger than Friday, top $6.60, bulk $4.75 to $6. Grass cows bring $3.65 to $5.25. including heifers. Calves are a valuable assett, the best at $8.00 to $8.25.

Country buyers are becoming more restless. as the corn crop becomes more certain of being al big one, but they have not. yet put their bids up even with the packers, bids on good feeders. A few half fat steers are going out at $7.00 to $7.50, plain feeders $6.00 to $6.80, stock steers $4.25 to $6.50. Four thousand hogs was the size of the run to-day, and they sold steady, though outside reports said five lower at some other markets.

A notable circumstance in the hog market is the shipment of. about 80 car loads of hogs from the up river markets to Ft. Worth in the last ten days, in spite of the scarcity of hogs in the north none went from here, as this market is running on famine supplies anyway, 4000 here to-bay. Top today is bulk $7.35 to $7.60.
