Blanding was born in the State of New York June 25th 1838. Died near Randall, July 25, 1910, age 72 and 6 months. Moved to Lowell, Michigan, in 1857, went to California in1858trgoing by 'Wagon' across the plains. 7 Returned to Michigan in 1861. Enlisted in the 26 Mich.

Kans. All but Phoebe were with him during his last illness. He came to Kansas in 1872 and was living on his homestead at the time of his death.
