The new building now in the course of erection, is believed to be one of the best school-edifices in the West (See cut on first page). The plan of the different stories may be of interest as the building is certainly of the most happily arranged of modern school structures. The edifice is 154x60 ft, three stories high besides basement and Mansard roof.

Ten commodious recitation-rooms furnished to correspond with the beauty of the building, a chapel seating 600 persons, are among its features. All the modern improvements in steam-heating apparatus, with especial regard to health, comfort and convenience, will be added. Hopes are entertained that this building will be completed at the opening of the Fall term. Bethany College and Normal Institute is located at Lindsborg, a small city in the Smoky Valley. The social and religious atmosphere of this community is in itself an educating influence that can hardly be overestimated.
