For several years the camp only "existed," as it made no growth of any consequence.

But the boys stayed right with it through Laidlaw's two terms of V. All male white persons between the ages of 18 and 45 years, who can pass the medical examination are eligible to membership. The assessments ere according to your age when you first become a member and never change, and we never have headers as our constitution prohibits it. M. The Lodge takes its name from that grand and noble women, president of the Red Cross, who is known the world over for her charitable works. This Lodge has always fulfilled its duty to its members; its charity has not been confined exclusively to its membership; the Lodge and its members have made it a point to assist the widow and orphan in need. In membership they are gaining, financially they are flourishing, socially none excel them. There is but one office a man can hold.

Great Bend lodge No. 2805, Grand United Order of Odd Fellows was organized in this city in 1888, with the following charter members: L. I). Williams, James Buchanan, Tom Pasco, Cass Had-dox, and Henry Allen. The lodge is in a fine condition and is doing a good work.

It meets every Tuesday evening, and has a membership of eighteen. Tho present officers are J. W. Brisco, N. William Green, V.

L. D. Williams, Secretary; Wilson Morant, Treasurer. The Household of Ruth is an auxiliary of the G. U.

O. O. F. and was organized in this city as No. oil, with a membership of 15.

The Good Templars lodge No. 29G was oxgenized iu this city in September 1898, with G. II. Smith as C. T.

The lodge has gradually grown in power and numbers until at present it numbers about one hundred members. It is the home of the yonrg lady and young gentleman. There are twenty school teachers on its membership roll, and every officer installed at the beginning of last term was an unmarried peison.
