Henry Logan, formerly a merchant of Scott, has sold out his business Et Garden City and will retire from the mer-chantile field entirely. He has bought an interest in tho postoffice grocery but it will bo managed by his brother Jacob. Kelley Fitts havo mado arrangements with eastern capitalists whereby they can compete with any on gilt edged loans. Their money is in the banks of Scott and you can got it on a moments notice. Ream has his house nearly completed. Modoc needs a hotel to accomodate the travelers that stop over night. Who will buil I first. I am now closing out all stock on the Huse Cattle Ranche four miles south of Scott City. The entire herd to bo closed out to suit purchasors.

This herd consists of two thoroughbred Hereford bulls, eight high grade Hereford bulls, about four hundred head of fine breed Hereford cows, heifers, steers and calves. Tho company are not positive as to whether they will remove to Scott City as previously arranged or erect a building on tha corner of Railroad and Main streets and open up a general jobbing business. Mr. Lar-ned is now in Wellingtou attending to some business and as soon as he returns, decided action will be taken. We hope they will consider tho position closely and finally decide to remain in Garden City as they surely will if they act to their own interests.
