Frank Danford made a short, but pointed and able argument for the defense, The argument was closed by O. Mieir about 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. The jury was out nearly 7 hours and brought in a verdict of not guilty, Although in the'strictest technicality, some punishment might have been due the defendent, there are but few if any men, who being placed in the same circumstances could resist doing the same thing.
