The contractor who was excavating the' cellar in the lot adjoining for the Odd Fellows' new hall, dug too far under the foundation and the walls of the house showed cracks last night, but was considered entirely secure. About 7 o'clock this morning- two actresses who were occupying a room on the third floor noticed a trembling of the walls, which was followed by a loud cracking noise. Alarmed, they dressed and ran into the hall, and had no sooner done so than the building fell with a crash, leaving, however, a portion of it, where the hall was located, intact. A little boy, occupying an adjoining room, jumped from the window to the ground below, whero he fell tremblingly but was not hurt.

There were nine other occupants in the house, all of whom miraculously escaped. Gabdkx City, June 11. News has been received from Ft. Niobrara, in northern Nebraska, that chiefs Two Strikes and Turning Bear, of Ogallalla, visited that post to get permission from commandant General Brisbin for about five hundred Sioux Indians of the Rosebud agency to visit the Indians, a party who under White Bull, are now visiting at Rosebud. The agent at Rosebud had denied them permission to make the proposed visit. Two Strike- and Turning Baar informed General Brisbin that they and their friends would go notwithstanding, as they wanted to trade ponies with the crows and get back a hundred stolen ponies which the Crows promised to return to them if they would make the visit. General Brisbin advised them to remain on to reservation.
