Who are the leeches upon the public? Who are the leeches of Trego county that gobbles after the spoils of office spoken of in the above resolution? Were they not the People's party and none others? Only two Republicans were elected on the Trego county ticket last July.

From the above plank in the People's party resolutions they would have us believe that all Republicans are "leeches upon public spoils." When a party throw stones at their own glass houses they are apt to break them. The "leeches of Trego county thus far have been the People's party. Their mode of procedure in criminal cases has cost the county srrcat sums where." Collyer catch that "nigger," in the name of humanity take that nigger out of the fence. Its the Democratic nigger. There are but two tickets in the field. One the staunch Republican ticket and the other the so-called People's ticket, being composed of men of different political shades of opinion, but mainly made up of office seekers and bolters from the Republican ranks, claiming if elected to office to manage the affairs of our county in a patent, double-acting, economical manner. This is the oit-repeated Old story," and we are daily asked, by intelligent voters of Trego county, too, about this People's party, and their proposed mode of procedure. We freely admit and we are unable to enlighten any one asking such information. We know the kaders of that" economical party" have branded Gen.

Grant as a liar, President Hayes a "puke," Carl Schurz a "beat" and the Hon. Secretary of the Treasury as a "thief." From the above language something can be gained as to their opinion of the leaders ol the Republican Party, and at the same time we can form a good opinion of the gentlemen composing the party. We appeal most earnestly to all intelligent voters of Trego county to come out and vote with the Republican party now holding the reins of government ments ot law under which they claim, shall be that of disinterested witnesses, as nearly free from objection as possible and with this end in view, the testimony of persons who are members of, or nearly connected with the family of the claimant will not be admitted, except in cases where it is impossible or impracticable for the claimant to furnish other testimony which latter fact must be clearly established by special to the satisfaction af the Register and Receiver. Write for particulars to Leader Job Print. Wa-Keeney, Kansas. Long before the time set for the People's convention, Mr. McAdam was ready, yea was ready and willing to run for office.

He was consulted July last by Republicans with reference to the County Attorney's office, and was eager for the Cosition but had to abandon it ecause it was discovered he with the general tenor of the evidence of disinterested persons. "The People's party is pledged to economy." What else, pray tell us He said, "He doubted whether he could be calleda Democrat when the National election comes off, and he did not think he would be a Republican either." Many in Trego county now wish to know his political standing, as well as his former political record. As this great would-be-economizer belongs to no party, it is doubtful, very doubtful, if the voters of Trego county will dare give him their support. A "Limb of the Law," at Collyer truthfully says: He truthfully told the chosen few spec-tators that it will not take me long to tell what I know." He called the Republicans of Wa-Keeney ringsters," and boldly asserted that the proceedings of the Republican convention was liken to a circus with all the clownish tricks known only to the ring. This he spun out the audience as truth, and in fact was as near the truth as the remainder of his speech.

He truthfully said, also, that he was a carpenter, after which he edified the audience by reading a passage from the World. He admitted that ignorance led him to make many of his mistakes the office of count' attorney. He openly declared that commissioners Brown and Glick were bullheads," and no financiers. How will this declaration be received by Collyer and Ogallah? The climax of his little speech was reached when he told the people about the suit of clothes he obtained from the county! for what? BROWN, Trego Republican Ticket. No county in Kansas can boast of hav ing more honorable names attached to any ticket than those found on the Republican ticket of Trego county. They are men of true metal. Men who have been tried and found faithful. Men having the true interests of Trego county at heart.

The election, too, of the entire ticket is sure and certain. Thepreess of the entire state is lavishing praise upon our Represerita- Party candidates who spend their time standing Take Tli was not then a citizen. How quickly now he is in the field. Is he not an office seeker? The County Attorney was known to be a strict People's man for a long time and it was a settled fact with the convention that he should be re-nominated. Uy his own confession in his Collyer speech he asked for the office in July last and said he was duly entitled to it.

Can it be said that he was no office seeker John A. Nelson was never aa office seeker. He sought nathe office of County Attorney. The office sought him. and presiding over this prosperous age brought about under Republican rule.

There is no People's party. It is onl a muclus, around which a few defeated, br j-ken-winded and spavin office aspira.its are gathering, claiming to economize our county expenditures, and not for the purpose of entering into national issues. On this ground, they are planning to throw dirt in the eyes of many voters. Concentrating their aim to elect their named representative, but it is plain that he lias not the ghost of a chance. 1 Ie is knovn as a politician, but he's found die wrong company and defeat will be Ms doom.

We believe that not a man named on the People's ticket will be elected. Many straight line Democrats in this county have openly come out, and pledged themselves to support the Republican ticket, men who are awake to the interests of the county. Does this not show Mr. Keeney a Trego county man point blank The crowd so considered it and applauded. Balance of Power. The balance of power in Trego county as shown by the two conventions is as follows: At the People's convention there were no representatives from Ogallah; they were forced to leave the nominations for Ogallah in the hands of a committee.

Collyer had only five present. Wa-Keeney had about fifty. A comparison therefore shows Wa-Keeney fifty to none against Ogallah, and forty-five aeainst Collyer. How now in tlu- Republican convention? There Ogallah had nine delegates and Collyer niiii delegates, whereas Wa-Keeney had only fifteen delegates. This shows the towns of Ogallah and Collyer to stand against Wa.Kceney, by a majority of three votes.
