of Trinity Church oave a weinnie roast last evening on the banks of the creek about a mile from town. About forty members and friends were present. The evening was spent in roasting weinnics, toasting marshmaliows and feasting on watermelon, A fine time is repotted by all present. Robidsaux-Bcwmcn Vledding Mr. .1. A. Powmau and Miss Pamona Pobideaux were married last Wednesday September 22nd at Wallace, Kansas. Mr.

Gusiav Krug Dead Mayor of the City of Hudson and President of the Stafford County flair Mills Passed away Saturday night. Gustav Krug passed away Saturday night at 1 1 o'clock at his home in Hudson. Mr. Krur had Mrs. Bowman, though not so well known here, vet numbers her friends by her acquaintances.

She comes from Wallace, Kansas, After a few davs visit with re-latives at Wallace, they came to Hudson Saturday whers they will make their home in the P. Dressier property in the south part of town. The best wishes of their many friends for a long ami happy wedded life. It was thru his efforts that the Lumber Vid, uv known as the Hudson Lumber Co. was called into beiiM' in 1000. Later in 1001 he entered into with Mr. Otto Sonderegger and built the Hudson Mill, of whieh organization lie was president until his death. The high esteem in which Air Krug was held by the citizens was proved by the fact that they elected him to the office of mayor for several terms.

He was still holding this office when he died, on September 2rih, 1020 at P. M. Those left to mourn his departure are his four daughter, Miss lledwig Krug, Mrs. Clam Myers, Mrs, Lena Kelley, Mrs. Martha Friedmanii' two sons, Mr.

Win, Krug and Mr. Pieh- nl Krug and their families and scores of relatives and friend. Oct. 3rd, at 3 P. at Sandago ten miles north of Hudson, Sandago has a strong line up for Sunday and a good game is expected.

Chas. Kelley and Mr, and Mrs. Walter Boyd returned to Greensburg Wednesday, after attending the funeral of Mrs. Kel-ley's father, Mr. G.

Krug, held Tuesday afternoon. I PAYNE BRU 5 1 iMiC was in Trinity cemetary, Gustav Adolph Krug was born March 3rd, 1810 in Geoi litzheim, Germany, lie was the oldest son in a family of five children. He received his secular and religions train-ing in the public schools of Germany and was confirmed there in the Kaith of the Kvaiigelieal Church, Circumstances in his parental home demanded of him when still in his tender years to assist his father to supply a livelvhood for the family. In his young manhood years he learned the mason tra'lo and followed same until liis health forced him to abandon this work He then became a railroad employ in the State of Saxony. In the year of 1871 he was married to Miss Teresa Teichmann, to this union 10 -children were born, 4 of them, however died in infancy.

In 1SS2 Mr. Kruj came to America with his entire family and lived on a farm 3 miles from Hudson, Thrifty and honest in his work, he accumulated a comfortable home for his people. In 1807 on the 21th day of July, his Miscslencus Shower Mrs. John Dohriuaun entertained Sunday afternoon a nuuiberof friends with a niiscelanous shower for Mr. and Mrs, Howmaii, who were married last Wednesday at Wallace, Kansas, Many beautiful and useful presents were received.
