On evening, April 2d tho JElioian fociety gave one of their popular musical enterf ftinVnents, at the M. E.Church, to a crenvded house. Miss Steele' shows decided talent as a pianist, and her pice was well rendered.

Vocal solo', "I'd be a Butterfly," by Miss Laura Beefes, was next announced imd well received, while the vocal duet which follqwed Misses Sade and Sullivan was sxcelant and fully appreciated by the audience. The' instrumental solo "Watchman tell us of the Night," by Miss, Maggie Buford, ii sen exceedingly difficult piece and was well Ere long Mis? Buford will be excelled by few at Baker.
