S. services to do patrol duty on the Mexican border. In 1917, he was among the first to go from this Country to France. He was in six of hottest battles, and was wounded twice. He arrived in the states about the last of August.

His division as Black Jack" Pershing said was the first to go over, and the last to come bak. He is just out of the hospital of Louisville, Kentucky, where he spent three months as the result of accidently te'aring a wound loose. He is off on a thirty day furlough and is wearing two wound chevrons, four service chevrons, for the two years of overseas service. He is also the, proud owner of the French Legion of honor medal, the Croix de Guierre. Mr.

Thoroman and the Normal Training class visited Second grade Reading and Numbers, December 11th.
