Dedrick, P. M. Ere a few short days have passed and the Coueier is again compelled to announce another death in our midst. This time it is rie Churchill, who, after four weeks illness of mountain fever, departed this life Saturday, October 15th. Miss Churchill was born Oct.

2nd, 1870, in Alamakee, Iowa, and came to this state some two years ago. She was the only daughter, and was the youngest member of the family. During her sickness there was never a word of complaint uttered from her lips, and she was conscious until the last moment. It is a terrible blow to the bereaved family and it is hardly possible for them to realize that Carrie is gone, as she was the cheering and helping hand of the home. Her quiet and affectionate manner won her the respect of all whom she came in contact with, and to be so suddenly called away, with the bloom of youth upon her cheeks, seems incredible, but "the Lord knoweth best." The funeral took place on Hon, day last, the Body being interred at the cemetery.

The services were conducted by the Rev. Morgan, who delivered an appropriate and fitting address in Allen's Hall, to a large concourse of friends and relatives of the deceased. The music was excellent and the participants deserve credit. The pall bearers were Will Neil, Hob Drury, Frank Knight, Bert Dedrick, Chas. Corsaut and J.

H. Jordan, We have not seen any public an-uouncements in any of our county contemporaries for commissioners, fo deem it fit to make a selection our-self of a candidate for this district who we thinK, will meet with the approbation of the majority of the voters.
