lGERSOIYL, Editor. liepublieaii Congressional Convention. A delegate Conventionof the Republicans of the Second Congressional District of the State of Kansas will be held at Fort Scott, on the 21st day of June, 1876. at the hour of 11 o'clock A. M.

for the purpose of nominating a candidate for Congress, to be voted for by the electors cf the District at the ensuing November election. Each Representative District entitled to representation in the Legislature under the apportionment of 1876, shall be entitled to two delegates. It is recommended that the primary meetings for the purpose of selecting delegate to' -the Congressional Convention, be held in the respective Districts on Satur day, the 17th day of June, 1876. It is also recommended that one alternate for each delegate be selected at the same time. By order of the Committee.

Lane exhibited to us Saturday a two foot limb from an apple tree taken from his orchard, with upwards of seventy well developed apples many of them as large as good sized Several stems contained as high as five apples, and we have never seen trees so fully laden with fruit. A Delegate Convention of the Republicans of the State of Kansas will be held in Representative Hall in the City of Topeka, on "Wednesday, the ICth day of August, 1876, at the hour of 2 P. for the purpose of r.ooiinating candidates for the, following offices, to wit Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Auditor of State, Treasurer of State, Attorney General, Superintendent of Public Instruction, one Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Five Presidential Electors, and a Stale Central Committee.

All counties entitled to representation in the House of Representatives for 1877, and no others, will be entitled to representation as follows, to wit: two delegates from each represenotive distr'c It is recommended that the primary meetings for the juirpose of electing delegates to the State Convention. herein'' held on Saturday; the 5th day of August, at" such tour a may be designated by. the Central Committee of each representative district, or in the event that there no such Committee or that it shall fail to sut, by the Ceutrnl Committee of the county. It is also further recommended that in addition to the delegates herein provided for, one alternate be elected for each delegate yo person will be entitled to a. or ote'in ihe convention "by holding the -proxy of any of the delegates elected.

In fact, he distrusts every remedy.

Several of the above symptoms attend the disease, but cases have occurred where few of them existed, yet examination of the body, after death, has shown the liver to have been extensively deranged.
