Last week we had nearly three days of steady rainfall. The ground is thoroughly soaked; crops of all kinds are coming on finely, and the prospects for a splendid harvest were never more flattering in any conntry. Farmers are feeling jubilant and have thoroughly made up their minds that there is no better place to live than in Logan county.

Farms are advancing in value every day. There is verily a big boom in western Kansas this year, and Logan county and Russell Springs are getting their full share. Don't locate until you have and seen for yourselves. HOVEY. President: C.
