The ReV.

George, of the First Presbyterian church, Topoka, last Sunday delivered a most intelligent powerful lecture on the differences of labor and capital. It was listened to by, 5,000 of the laboring men of Topoka, and was published in full in the Commonwealth of that city on Tuesday morning. It was different from the stereotyped style or general rule of such lectures in this: Its language and argument were not the sugar coated kind dished up to mislead labor and tickle Capital; but it wa evidently honest, and intended for the purpose of assisting each of the elements at war io a better, understanding of the of one upon the other. His likening capital without labor to a bird, without wings, and labor without capital as the wings without the bird, was a thought that, will bear stjidy irf a proverb. More foctwres and sermons from the standpoint taken by Mr.

George, and bearing the same stamp of honesty, will prove of benefit to both labor and Dr. Phillip Krohn, editor of the Abilene Daily Gazette, the great pro-kibitie4 agitator, and a minister of the Gospel was caught in a room at the Bartel housgjn Junction City, with a young lady of Abilene whom good( Doctor had Wn annoying with his attentions until, to get rJ of him, the young lady entered into a plot with her affiauowl to expose him, with the result us fcbove stated. The Doctor denies nothing that is said, has severed his connection with the Gazette, takes his meuls in his room, calls it a political blackmailing job, and regrets (he exposure more on his wife's account tlian anything else. "How are' the mighty fallen!" It just as reasoiiabla to have expected to have heard of Jo'hn himself or "Dady" Griffin being caught in a' trap like this as Dr. Krohn, for, of late years; it has Inicome to lie ex peeled that when men take'advan tage of circumstances to ride into power and position on a "hobby, that sooner or later they will come to grief, and generally after the same style as that which has overtaken the Rev.
