Tois is U. Grat tan Donnelly, the well-known American author's masterpiece. It is so full of surprises and pleasing features that it is the talk of 'the town wherever played, and packed houses are the natural re suit. Beautiful scenery and costumes are used and many musical and danoing numbers are introduced during the action of the play whioh being a good pure and wholesome comedy makes one better for having seen it.

Speaking of the mild weather the oldest settler is not knocked out. Tom Baxter says he has lived here for over forty years and never saw anything like the present March weather, but J. W. Scott, who has lived in Brown county 51 years says the winter of 1858 pre. sented both Ternary and March with similar weather to ihis.

He also stated that in 1363 one of his neighbors had corn knee high by the first of April, and about the middle of April a snow storm came, followed by a freeze and put the corn out of business. Mr. Scott says when unusual conditioca like the pres ent appoar, the people forget about former years. Jonathan Scott returned Saturday from Southern California, where he spent the winter.
