The first mail by regular carrier was delivered at Pearlette on Monday, the 4th. The carrier was on horseback, and had a little ride of 500 miles before him wheu he left Dodge. Ed.

Thompson is making preparations to leave soon for Ohio, as his health will not permit him to remain here. Dr. Galland, of the Great Western Hotel, still keeps his house up to the standard of excellence, and the public are giving him a full house about all the time.
