G-uus Pistols John Lawson, Charley and Billy Heinz and Dunk Arter are all at work in the hay fields south of Pearlette. William Mangold is still baking for Robbins, in Dodge City. The first mail by regular carrier was delivered at Pearlette on Monday, the 4th. The carrier was on horseback, and had a little ride of 500 miles before him wheu he left Dodge. Ed.

Thompson is making preparations to leave soon for Ohio, as his health will not permit him to remain here. Dr. Galland, of the Great Western Hotel, still keeps his house up to the standard of excellence, and the public are giving him a full house about all the time. You cannot make a mistake by taking your grip-sack and registering at the Great Western. Wm.

H. Bennett is one of the clever and industrious boys of Dodge, and the best gunsmith that ever came to this section. Billy is first lieutenant at F. C. Zimmermann's mammoth stores, where he not only repairs fire-arms but is always ready to wait upon customers in any department.

Capt. Howar, the Dodge City Auctioneer, is dealing largely in 2nd furniture, stoves, bedding, wagons etc. If you wish to buy or sell give Mr. H. a call.
