Rev. Gillidette, the preacher and farmer of Plains, was in town Monday on his way back from Minneola where he holds services regularly each alternate Sabbath. Mr. Riordan seeks lealth in southwest Kansas as he has been afflicted with asthma for a num ber of years and found he was growing vorse. The ordeal was a severe one for Mrs. Buck. H. N. Holderman the high grade stock raiser, left Sunday morning for Hutchinson where he visited relatives Sunday and Monday and on Tuesday went to a public sale of thoro-bred live stock at Great Bend.

Mr. Holderman is very much interested in blooded stock and has on his farm some of the finest in the southwest. Albert Hempel is advertising a pub- lie sale for Tuesday. Dec. 17.

He has burchased a farm near Correctionville, la. and will move there in about 30 days. Mr. Hempel has been in Meade county for about ten years and is a mighty good citizen and his many friends are sorry he is going to leave.
