Clark held services in the Presbyterian church last Sunday morning aud evening. Sheddan, one of Logan's rustlers, was in town Saturday and gave this office a pleasant call. Mrs. Rosetta Singley again takes her place in the school room at West Plains after a week's vacation. Gradually the city is filling up and it is a rare thing tc see a good house standing unoccupied at present.

Rev. Crouch went to Topeka last week on business connected with the ministry and returned Friday night. Ben Cox, of Artesian, loaded three cars with fine beef cattle last Monday and took them Kansas City to market. The attendance at Sunday School is increasing greatly and the lessons for this quarter are very interesting. Come and take part.

N. R. Bishop and wife were in from Logan Saturday taking in the sights of the city. Mrs. Bishop is well pleased with her new home.

Senator Chester Long spoke to a good house last Saturday and highly entertained his listeners. C. I. Long is a good orator, but he talkad too much about his neighbors (the peoples party) to suit a greater part of his audience. Oliver Norman was in from Artesian Saturday, also Mrs.

Vick from the above named vicinity with vegetables for sale. Mrs. Vick has sold about five hundred dollars worth of vegetables this year. How is that for dry(?) Meade County? Mrs. Judd, of Odee, was a pleasant caller at the Superintendent's office Saturday.
